Why Pray?
Prayer is the heart of Christianity, because at the heart of Christianity is a relationship with God. We pray to the Father who is in Heaven, through the Son in Jesus' name being empowered by the Holy Spirit. We learn to communicate to our Father; we learn to listen to what He has to say to us as a body, as individuals.Through Jesus' earthly ministry, He was focused on doing the will of His Father, which was achieved through prayer. Making His requests known to the Father and receiving direction from Him. Jesus remained attached to the Father through prayer.Prayer brings a person into the presence of God. Our relationship with Him grows and develops as a result of prayer.
